Is it possible to permanently disable start/stop on Audi?

Short answer - Yes. But you need someone with VCDS (google it).
Best advice - give it a couple of weeks, you soon settle into it.
ETA Audi sport.net have owners of said cable on a map. Just type in your postcode and you'll find the nearest owner to you. These enthusiasts are usually delighted to help!Best advice - give it a couple of weeks, you soon settle into it.
S-Tronic or manual?
If S-Tronic stick with it. It grows on you and is really rather good being able to hold the car running with a light press on the brake pedal but engage the stop start with a heavier press.
Can't say the same for manual though. I found trying to juggle handbrake, clutch and throttle total crap when i'm the front of the queue at the lights. Code it out.

Standard setup is stop/start on by default, using VCDS;
Module 09 > SA: 20113 > Adaptions > Read channel 34 >
You then have these options:
- subtract 4 from the value = stop/start off by default
- add 32 to the value = enable stop/start memory
- add 64 to the value = invert the light in the stop/start switch (light on when stop/start on rather than when off)
Stop/start memory is IMO the best option, indeed how you would expect it to have been in the first place.

Different car (2015 Touareg) but probably the same setup. I "disabled" stop/start with a Carista dongle. It was £10 when I bought it on Amazon, but I think the price has gone up recently.
It's basically an OBD bluetooth plug and app. If you buy the Pro version you get 1 month free access to the reprogramming functions too. Simple to use.
I set start/stop to remember the previous state, and the warning light to be on when start/stop is enabled. I also programmed the passenger mirror to dip when reversing.

Hi, I have a 2014 A4 automatic and really do not want the start / stop function switched on at all, is it possible to deactivate on this year car? Also, is it possible to enter more than one of these codes, for example I would like to disable start / stop and change the light so it shows no light when the start / stop is switched off. If so, how would you enter 2 different codes?Module 09 > SA: 20113 > Adaptions > Read channel 34 >

Thanks for any advice.

Mine is 2014 S4 with S-Tronic/DSG gearbox and is set to remain in the last state so yes it is possible to deactivate (I assume other A4 variants are the same?). Thanks for any advice.
I'm told you can also change the light status but haven't done it myself as I prefer it to be on when on, so not quite sure how to enter the codes?

My A6 is now set to LED on when SS is on and it memorises the last state before ignition off. Done with ODBEleven.I'm told you can also change the light status but haven't done it myself as I prefer it to be on when on, so not quite sure how to enter the codes?
I'm near Gatwick if you want it coding and you're this side of Kent?
Any decent indy VAG specialist should have it, or something of similar capability, but expect to pay half hour labour for it to be done. The above coding info should be enough information for them to do it, even if not familiar
