Also completed my order form and had it back to the dealer on Thursday. Had my order number through but on the VW tracker it still shows as order processing. I should get a build date this week apparently, not confident of getting an earlier one though. The order was for a standard no options car in red.

We had completed all the paperwork (via G2L) on our order and told had secured a car by early afternoon on the Wednesday (first day). had our order number by 10am on the Thurs morning but it is still showing as 'processing'.

Has anyone else ordered via G2L and progressed further than this?

Did mine through G2L and have my order number. I just live chated on the VW site and they told me build WK21 so missing out on the supposed updates coming WK22. Still can't complain at the price and assume they had to sell a bunch before MY17 comes along.

Newbie here.

This lease deal was hard to miss so I enquired with a VW main dealer and filled in the proposal last Thursday evening and emailed it to him. Got an email from the dealer on Friday evening at 17.26 stating 'Finance approved and car ordered'

I emailed him on Monday morning regarding estimated time scale, about the possibility of putting a personal reg on the car and to let me know when he need's the initial payment (deposit). The dealers reply was that they were waiting on details from VW regarding build schedule and as soon as he get's any details he will forward them to me.

I've heard nothing since and I haven't been asked for a deposit. I don't really want to ps off the dealer by hounding him about when the car's getting built etc.

I am starting to worry that it's not going to happen though !!

Go onto the vw vehicle tracker online, sign up and enter your order number there, or use the be live chat.

It's probably being scheduled for build and confirmed in next few days. I haven't paid a deposit either. Order number is the key as I understand it.

That's the problem. I don't even have an order number. All he has said was finance approved and car ordered.

Hound him for the order number. If they secured a slot then it will take him 30 seconds to get from the system and then you can stop hassling him as you will have (roughly) the same view as him.

I've just sent another email to my dealer bugging them about the order number, tomorrow morning will be a full week.

Just a quick one, what is the significance of BW22? I've seen it a few times but don't know what it means. FWIW my order tracker says car is scheduled for build week commencing 02/05/16. Anyone have any idea how long from that point til delivery? Just a ball park estimate so I can sort out with work about giving them back the old car.

Build week 22. Yours is build week 19 (02/05) same as mine

There is a revision in the build for MY2017 coming in at BW22 so I wouldn't be too upset. The revisions are minor but you should get additional gauges on the infotainment unit.

Minor changes from BW22.

I emailed my dealer today (who used exactly the words you mentioned above on the confirmation email!) and he replied quite quickly with my number. I'm sure it'll be ok

Heard anything mate?

Had an email today saying my order was put through as soon as it got approved, and the system accepted it with no problems (whatever that means). Apparently the supply team are still working through the orders to allocate build slots. Still no confirmation though.

Mine shows as with factory, no deposit paid. When is too late to change the colour? Went for lapiz but I'm thinking white might suit it better. And it's cheaper.

Oh goodness, I worked in sales at VW for 6-7 years, up until 2005, so, I *should* be able to remember, but can't.

I recall there being a point where you could spec amend cars, even if they had a confirmed build week, but sure someone will be along shortly to clarify it.

The lease company I went through said I couldn't change anything now otherwise the price of the deal would go back to £400+ per month. If you went directly with the dealer it could be different i suppose?
