Thanks for making this thread, Soupdragon1.
The kumquat was very unhappy with me on the Thursday shortly after it was released. I've not sat in an A6 before (had plenty of A4s from Hertz over the years though).
I am delighted with the deal - I am moving from a 2015 Mercedes C250 AMG estate to this (around end of April). I love the Mercedes but it's just too expensive in comparison to whats available now and goes back early May.
I am planning to move home in the next 12 months, and affordability is key to that mortgage application.
I was actually considering just taking a punt on 2 years in a cheap Golf or something, so I'm delighted I'll still have a lot of space!
Anyway, fisted without hesitation was an A6 SE Exec saloon in boggo black.
With low cost my main driver, I have not chosen any options (but requested FOC black leather and model designation deletion).
3+23 @ 179.56 inc VAT.
Thats a 33k car for total 5028.56 incl fees over two years.
During the process I was hesitant about SE Exec vs S-Line.
Most cars in the past have been S-Line, M-Sport, or AMG Line for example - I prefer sportier appearance.
But on this occasion, and for only 2 years while the house move progresses, I simply went low cost. Not very PH, but in just 2 years time I can look for the car I want, not a daily driver like the A6.

Quick question, have I missed the boat on this deal? The kumquat was very unhappy with me on the Thursday shortly after it was released. I've not sat in an A6 before (had plenty of A4s from Hertz over the years though).

I think any option that you don’t pay the full cost of the term is worth it. Plus I believe it was a £1600 option 6 months ago before it became a run out model.
Have a look on autotrader for cars with and without tech pack. The higher-res screen is much more pleasing, the screen between the floating dials is still pretty trick in 2017, the phone box with QI charging is a great feature and you get the facility to connect 2 Bluetooth devices at once. Also MMI touch is slightly better than inputting with the dial.
The one thing I’m not sure on is Audi Connect. Lex don’t activate it in their lease cars so I’m trying to ascertain if you can just put your own data sim in and activate it that way. The google maps overlay looks good.

I enquired about one of these A6’s via the company we get our cars from who have not been able to send a written quote and have just sent an e-mail back to say the offer does not exist.
From the companies above have any put the quote and order on writing?
My normal broker tried really hard but failed to get hold of this deal. But they did manage get from a dealer that it was only open to Lex 'Key Associate' brokers. From the companies above have any put the quote and order on writing?
It's all gone now though it seems. I've got pdf quotes from everyone I enquired with, but I doubt they'll do any good now.

Just had a call from the broker... Lex has pulled the deal from anyone who hasn't had the agreement countersigned by Lex so far. Supposedly they've got their figures wrong and stand to lose a 7 figure sum on all the deals they've done.
Ah well, back to the drawing board...I hope others manage to get theirs!

Are you saying that anyone who have not signed their finace forms - their order will be cancelled?
I have paid my deposit to GB Leasing - Signed the order from and an email confirming the order has now been placed with the dealership and will keep me updated when the vehicle is secured.

Apparently it's the counter signature on the Lex side is the important bit. They're saying any order with Lex documents that haven't been signed by them yet are being cancelled. That's the bit after you sign it and send it back. Are you saying that anyone who have not signed their finace forms - their order will be cancelled?

Of course, could all be bull. But the broker said he had an email from someone high up in Lex this morning. The broker is very annoyed as he'd done a lot of these over the last week.
Maybe time for a phonecall?

Further to our earlier telephone conversation, I can confirm that Lex Autolease have instructed us to cancel the order for your Audi A6. The model and derivative have been removed from their quotation system and they will not honour any quotations or orders.
This is obviously disappointing news and we have challenged the decision at the highest level possible, but unfortunately without success.
Prior to accepting your proposal, all possible efforts to ensure that the pricing was correct had been made and your order was accepted in good faith.
Lex Autolease have yet to issue any form of customer communication and at this point have not authorised us to release a copy of the internal communication.
We will of course keep you informed of any further communications from Lex Autolease, however should you wish to contact them directly to confirm the situation please do so by calling them on 0344 879 6633 (option 4) or email them at customer.service@lexautolease.co.uk
The situation is unfortunately beyond our control and we are disappointed that we have not been allowed to process your order.
