Some people need to get over themselves and their cars.
from someone who posts their driving life on the internet ( http://blog.pentoman.com/ ) i'd have thought you would have 'got it'

ah well
Well I just find them interesting but draw the line at sensationalising fairly trivial events
one could say a bit like burst tyres wink

I think you'll find that the reason why PH can leave this up, is because the case is already in the public domain (Mail and Telegraph). Their circulation is a lot greater than on here.

I can't understand some of the obvious garage workers opinions on here. Please feel free to advertise your garages, and I'll make a note of where not to come. It's a shame that your colleagues at Bexley Audi, or Audi in the UK have decided not to justify themselves. Maybe they can't?

With regard to the subject, I expect other people to respect my property when I entrust them with it - especially if I'm paying for the privilage. I'm sure the RS4 owner is the same. How he (or I) treat our vehicles is of no consequence.

I can't agree with the route he has taken, but have myself been left dissatisfied with the result of work by a company - which they also denied, and can only take satisfaction from having similar work done elsewhere.

Use another Audi dealer next time.
If I was a dealer principle in an Audi dealer I would red flag that guys name and reg on my system and politely tell him to go spend his money somewhere else if he ever phoned up to book his car in!

They probably have already done that. After all would you want to risk servicing a car for him. I certainly wouldn't.
Maybe the tracking device may invalidate the Audi warrenty??
Non approved part??

Interesting one to debate..............

I cant believe that you lot are even discussing this topic I thought you were supposed to be car enthusiasts not judge jury & chief executioners. The car in question was in for a service, what the hell are you all up in arms about, have many of you never driven your car at up to 60 mhp in a built up area, of course not? I simply put it down to the mechanics exhuberance. As for the guy whos car it is - get a life, its a car for gods sake!

The car should have been serviced, had it's 3 - 5 mile drive and then left alone until the OWNER returned to collect it . Lets remember he was paying for a service and if he isnt satisfied he's entitled to complain. So you wouldn't tell your staff to treat the customers cars with care and respect then? If I found someone had been thrashing my RS4 during a service for which I was paying for them to look after the car I'd smash their teeth out. But since your opinion differs so hugely bring your RS6 to me and I'll service it for you. Also starting the car 27 times is an issue because the ignition coils are likely to fail - this is a specific Audi fault and any dealer should know that.
