My daily routine now consists of contacting VW Live Chat, and after being fed the same story about delays they finally confirmed that my car is in build so my tracker is correct.
My BW was meant to be 29/8, and tracker changed 5/9 to build in progress, so seems like a week delay was accurate.

Just checked our order with live chat and despite the tracker showing it in build since 16/08 they now say it is being built - not sure i believe them as the order tracker has said that too for 3 weeks now.
Also they couldn't give a delivery date but did say we would be getting a letter soon about our order. However, I suspect it'll be a generic apology saying its been delayed because we messed up our supply contracts and really sorry, etc.
They don't appear to build in order number order either as the orders before and after ours are showing as in the UK.
Vindis Bedford are claiming it'll still be delivered in September - i cant see how if only just in build (if it even actually is)!

Supplied via National Fleet Services. I had BW 36 confirmed right up until the factory closure, then I was advised it had slipped a fortnight but the next confirmed BW was 40 and this was advised to me last week.Thanks,

I did indeed! I'm hoping that maybe it was in the production queue yesterday and today it actually started being built. Will ask again later just to double check haha!t to keep them happy - I'll believe my car is built when it arrives at the dealer.today Stephen told me that my car had a chassis number meaning it had been built and was in quality control (he claims that could take up to a week!) then 3-4 weeks to arrive at the dealer. The september delivery that vindis claimed was still on looking less and less likely.

Curiosity got the better of me, so thought I'd ask the Live Chat people what the status is today - So yesterday was told it was in production, but today it's not even started production! How about that! It's actually going backwards through the process....I'll stand by my earlier statement of 'I'll believe it when it's at the dealership'.

I had another go this afternoon and got through to Mohammed. At first he told me it was delayed, then I told him I spoke to him the other day and he told me it was in production. I asked him to clarify, and he said, it is in production, and is due to be built over the next week, and it will be built by next week.
He said that they have information being fed to them on Monday, so he took my number and said he is going to call me on Monday to provide me with an update.
His statement of being built by this time next week does correlate with what I was told earlier to so that's good news I guess.

Just for balance, I ordered at the same time through the same dealer as adaM3 and had comms at the same time in August. Only difference is that mine (Estate, White) is STILL being built! Spoke to VW (Online chat) and found out that it has been built but will need upto a week to pass thru quality control, then upto another 4 weeks to ship to the dealer. Maybe luck of the draw but frustrating nonetheless... 23rd August - car is built and has been released ready for shipping.
