Right, so now I just got a quote from Tesco for £920 & Direct Line gave me £849. Nice!
Phew...sounds better prices Tom smile

Don't know the answer to the 2nd part of your post but all the paints have code nos.
Or contact the respective VW/Audi parts departments for the answer as they supply the paints

Dad's a bit happier haha,
no worries, a friend in America who works for a VW dealer told me to write down our A6's VIN and my friends Polos VIN and give Guildford Audi & Colbornes VW, Guildford a call respectively for paint codes. I shall give it a go next Tuesday!

Another thing, for when I (hopefully) get mine, I'd like to swap the likely hub-caps over for some Polo alloys... Don't worry!
I really really really want these:

If I can't get them, I'll settle for these:

And these are also on teh list:

Does anyone know A. What they are called, B. Where I can get them from and C. will they just pop straight on? Am I going to need pin adaptors/spacers etc..?

Thanks!

Sure this will smarten the Polo but easy tiger before changing the wheels smile

This could impinge on your insurance costs + I would advise you to wait until you have some driving experience under your belt or you will be scuffing/kerbing some smart alloys wink

Are you serious? They could easily have come already on the car as a factory option, how would they know I'd put them on after buying it?

Well, the day is finally here, well. In about 18mins from now, I shall be the big one-seven.

My first driving lesson is Wednesday morning (in a Fiesta I think), but as for the Polo, it's a no-no.

Having just moved house and with money going out left right and centre (kitchen, my insurance, holidays, new puppy coming next saturday, computers, re-decorating, builders knocking down walls etc) there's not alot of money left in the kitty so I'm in a little red L-reg ('93) (SORRY GUYS/GUYETTES!!!) Mazda 323 1.3iDOHC 16v 3dr LX. It's only done nearly 44,000mi too! It's my Mum's car at the moment, so we'll be sharing it until very early on next year when a SEAT or a VW joins the ranks and the Mazda is mine! So I personally won't be joing the VW/Audi ranks quite yet...
