I'm 1 week in and I've only done 250 miles. Seems to be a very competent car. love the amount of grip and it pulls away from nearly everything on the road. I haven't seen another CUPRA on the road in months and they seem to be getting a fair amount of attention. i have however noticed a few people at the lights determined to race off the line.

Seems to attract racers. Gave the Cupra a proper wash this evening and Wax. i do love the mystery blue colour.

Very nice colour.

I have only seen one CUPRA 300 in recent weeks.

Can't wait for mine in Monsoon Grey

Guys, boring question alert. Can anyone who leased through Wessex tell me whether they (the lease company) are the Registered Keeper, or whether you (the owner) are the registered keeper. It makes a £30 difference on my insurance renewal! I don't ever recall getting a V5 in my name so I assume it's Wessex who are the RK.

Also, Mystery blue looks way better than any of the colours offered on the 290!

Im considering going for the IMG deal, Im not too bothered about the lead time as it gives me time to get my finances in order.

Just a couple of questions, I've always had manual as I feel its more involved but Im debating about DSG, did anyone else go for manual?

What are the standard seats like, in every video I see they are leather its hard to see what the cloth looks like, does anyone have any photos of it?

Is the Seat Sound worth it?

This would be my first lease deal so hence all the questions!

I've always driven manual as well, but wanted to try DSG so decided to take the plunge. Its only 2 years so if I hate it then its not a massive loss in the grand scheme of life. Worth bearing in mind that extras really do bump the monthly price up. The only extra I had was ACC.

Exact colour and car I've ordered ( unless that is ST, I've got the 5dr ) when did you order it Jord ? Slightly concerned about the colour, I love it but it's bound to attract unwanted attention various scrotes.

Yeah, mine is an ST 4Drive. I ordered my car on 29th March and was delivered 29th July. 16 weeks from order.

The blue in the sun when it's waxed is sooo deep and stunning, I had a chap at the petrol station today ask loads of questions about it and said he has never seen one but loves the idea of them.

It's a really great car and when your on a slip road in cupra mode, 40mph and just floor it, the sense of speed is outstanding. The DSG shifts so fast and within a handful of seconds my speed warning of 90 will ping and your still in 3rd.

For the money, it's a fantastic car.

Had a decent run out today to Portsmouth and back 124 miles round trip, in Eco mode and cruising at 70 it returned 36.2mpg. On the way back I put it in Cupra but had the box in normal, returned 32.5mpg with a handful of squirts.

Millage count is now 415 so in close to feeling like I can use the Rev range more and for longerz

Mines leased with Wessex, no V5 came with the car, gonna call them tomorrow to see info can put my Private plate on. Not sure if I can and what that means to the V5 if I get my plate on.

Found one on my phone. I would have gone for the Buckets but they added £34 a month into my lease and considering I will never own the car I couldn't do the man maths.

Thanks for the photo, looks very nice better than the standard stuff you get in a golf gti!

Im currently debating about dsg purely because the monthlies go up, really torn if its worth an extra £39 a month on a lease... decisions.. decisions

are you looking to get an ST? ive never had a DSG before and it is really good. whats annoying is in Sport mode it holds gears a lot longer than you want when doing a constant speed like 30 mph. but you can easily just knock up a gear.

Gear changes are almost instant and in comfort mode, you will not notice the changes. im sold...

When the lease is up on my 290 this is what I will be looking at and I will be going with DSG.

No im just after the 5 door (ST is estate right?)

I dont need this car but I want it haha.

I think Il go for the manual (if I do go for it) purely to keep the payments down

If it's via VWFS, they are registered keeper and you can put private plate on it. It will be a bit of hassle and possibly admin fee. It's best to put private plate before collection. You have to make finance company nominee on your plate transfer paperwork/online form.

Stupid question incoming.

If i did my finance for Cupra through SEAT Finance, is that underwritten by VWFS?

SEAT Finance is a trading name of Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) Limited (registered in England under company registration number 2835230, VAT registration number 745 9638 83), whose registered office is at Brunswick Court, Yeomans Drive, Blakelands, Milton Keynes, MK14 5LR, United Kingdom.

Just call them if you have any questions.

Snap that deal up. £4,313.89 total. Not sure how only paying 11 months works though?
