Ordered mine mid July from IMG and I collect this Friday 1st September, standard manual in desire red. Not a colour I would usually have especially if I was keeping it but I've had plenty of black, grey, blue cars so fancy something different. Plus nobody else seems to have gone for it so hope it looks ok as never saw one in person. If not I'm not that bothered.

I've ordered in desire red, but you're the only other person I've seen to have also chosen that colour.IMG had a FR in desire red and until seeing it in the flesh I wouldn't of considered it. Can you upload a pic when you get it please?

Chaps, what's the excess mileage rate on these deals? If it's underwritten by VWFS, do they allow you to purchase more miles halfway through the term? (I did this with my A4 and bought more miles, at half the stated excess mileage rate)
Just contemplating whether to up my mileage to 15kpa now, or stick with 8kpa and buy more miles halfway through.

just spoke with seat and they have given me a Build Week of 48!! paid deposit on 31st July so likely will end up with the car next summer lol. The guy at Seat did say to call back in a month as this isn't a definite and could be allocated an earlier or even later build week. This is all very confusing.
Picked it up and have to say I'm very impressed especially since I ordered blind and never seen one in the flesh let alone sat in one.
The red looks nicer than I thought and it's definitely got some poke. Interior is decent too and although may not rival the Golf R it's more than nice enough.

Glad I went for this colour semi blind (desire red FR was my benchmark). Really suits the car.

So nice! If that colour had been available when the Black Editions were available there would have been no competition for me!
