Has anyone put their private plate on the car?

Went to Listers, Coventry yesterday. They have a Silver 300 at a demo car. That had the rear window fins (as does (seemingly) the red one above?) so presume they're now standard?

I was hoping to get a ride out in the car, but ended up sitting down to see if they could match IMG, they were £259ex VAT and said they couldn't budge as the system doesn't let them.

Dealership was disorganised and below average customer service IMO.

I'm very seriously tempted to give IMG. A call and pull the trigger on one of these, has anyone, however gone down the route of higher than 8k miles? Realistically I'd want probably double that! How didn't affect your monthlies? I've done a rough calculation and the excess mileage at the end would equate to roughly £1800 which doesn't sound like the end of the world but would ideally want to specify more miles on my agreement initially

From what i remember I think it was £4 + vat per month per 1000 miles. But I didnt get mine through IMG, so they may be different.

Collect mine tomorrow from IMG, 5 door manual in blue.
Mine is 17k per year at £294 per month, its £5 per month per 1000 miles extra.
9000 over the original 8k deal so 9 x £5 = £45 more for me.
Deal was that cheap went for it!

Hope this helps

Quick question for those who've already got one: what's the ride like on the 19" wheels?

I'm looking for a family car that's a bit fun and IMG's cheap deal is a bit of a winner for me, but my (pregnant) fiancee is worried that the ride's going to be too firm given that she's going to be the one driving it day-to-day.

Any opinions please?

IMO I think the ride is really good.

Just need to avoid the pot holes.

My wife suffers with her back when in cars so she doesn't appreciate the bucket seats but other that that its fine.

You need to frame your question with what you/she is used to driving mate.

The Cupra (unlike the Golf R) has adaptive suspension, so based on the mode you choose you'll be treated accordingly - comfort & cupra handle and feel very differently from the video reviews I've watched, throttle response, damping all change.

I haven't seen anybody say it's uncomfortable for the class of car, but it's subjective I guess.

Sorry - '57-plate VW Polo diesel. Small wheels, soggy (i.e. tired) suspension.

Leon Cupra R has just been announced.

310ps manual or 300ps DSG. very unlikely to make it to lease deals with only 799 being built

Nope, come as part of the winter pack which also includes headlight washers. It's around £400 I think.

Should have said the Leon Cupra "Clubsport" with those engine specs and round exhausts!
