The Golf R lease thread

Ignore me, I just looked at a few on autotrader and they don't have caps either.

Got my R Estate is peasant white delivered on Tuesday.
Fairly impressed so far..
Just a question.. The isofix points are visible on the rear seats? I have an Audi A4 which has removable caps to cover them..
Are they supposed to be on show or have they not fitted the caps?
Thanks

For any of you who have their tracker showing as in transit, the "City of Paris" has been berthed at Grimsby River Terminal delivering a load of Vag cars from Emden. (I can see it from my office window) and is on it's way back to Emden.
You can track them on Marinetraffic website for free.
Also the "Weser Highway" is sat at Immingham having come from Emden.

The 3 or 4 facelifts I had on a look at on autotrader that showed the rear seats, didn't have them either.
So I suppose it's either not supposed to, or VW want to charge extra for them.
Not too fussed, but the isofix metal bar is in white and does stand out quite a bit.
I'll check if the Audi ones fit, if so I'll buy a couple of sets. Or I'll just have a few more kids and buy baby seats

So just a update after a weekend of driving.
Went to Brands Hatch this weekend so had a drive on the M25 car park. Revs bang on 2000 rpm at 70. Didn't really put my foot down much as too many camaras, but fair to say this car is prety impressive on the fuel in my opinion.
Does feel quite hard on the motorway, but then it is a sporty car, so to be expected.
Car it replaces

Apologies if this has been asked before, I stopped following this thread some time ago.
My R estate is just coming up to 1 year old and has done 8k miles, the in-car computer suggests it doesn't need a service for some time yet (Inspection in 11,900 miles or 341 days, oil service in 5,400 miles or 141 days) but, I'm concerned that I'll get stung by VWFS if it's not serviced correctly according to the schedule.
Are others just going by what the car tells them, the manual or just having annual servicing anyway (I've always done annual servicing regardless with my other cars)?

Best thing to do would be to check your contract or give your lease/finance company a quick ring and ask... FWIW, VWFS advised me to just go by what the car tells me since it depends whether it's set up for long life servicing or not.

leases are normally long life servicing I think.
My car that arrived last week says 727 days till service. This may change depend on driving and mileage.
My car was on the short servicing despite VW saying their records said it was on long life! It got swapped when it went for its first service. My car that arrived last week says 727 days till service. This may change depend on driving and mileage.

My pre face lift GTD has covers, but my wife's facelift GTI doesn't have the covers so i assume when my R estate arrives it won't have them.Fairly impressed so far..

Hi all,
New to these forums. Looking to get a Golf R on lease sometime in the near future.
Are there any current good deals that someone can point me in the direction of?
Or if anyone has any speculation as to future deals that might crop up I'd be interested to here it.
Cheers.
