They are just like the seats in my S3 and I really like them too, they look much more special than the full black leather in my S4. One of the reasons I am still sad to be selling the S3.

Theres a 2005 S4 Avant on the approved audi website, guess you'd get a years warranty with this? Highish miles at 85k, but its £12k, doesn't seem too bad if you get the Audi back-up?

Well, I eventually found THE car.

'54 plate S4 Avant, 35000 miles, DVD sat nav, manual, BOSE upgrade and a miltek exhaust. It is in absolutely impeccable condition. Truly superb condition (I'm into detailing my cars, so was looking forward to going to town on it - but it's so good already!).

I'm absolutely over the moon with it. Alloys will need a refurb, but I'm glad about that because then I can start with them perfect, and keep them perfect (front and back) as well as painting the slightly tired looking calipers.

I've now combined two cars (Lotus Exige and Ford Focus) down to one, as I was not driving the Lotus anywhere near enough, but still able to transport my drum kit to gigs biggrin

I'm still finding buttons in the thing and working out what they do (!). And getting used to that engine. Oh my that engine. I knew it was good, but only after spending time in the car do I realise quite how good the engine is. I kept trying to change from 2nd to 3rd, only to realise I was in 4th, such is the width of the engine's tractability.

It was looking lovely yesterday morning, and then chucked it down the whole time from eysterday afternoon through to this morning. Ah well, just got to wash it again, I guess.... biggrin

Thanks everyone for the info and advice, very much appreciated.

Well done Tony, very very nice car you have there and it sounds like it was worth waiting for.

I still haven't had a chance to drive mine properly due to babies taking over my life, but maybe one day I'll make it out for a cheeky tunnel run smile

> Marc - Thanks biggrin Yup it was worth waiting for. In tunnels it sounds really good actually - though you certainly need the windows down!

Don't worry about the calipers Tony, bin them they're crap anyway, a nice set of Brembo's straight off of a 996tt will bolt on with an adapter kit, the ones I've got I'm even leaving red with the Porsche logo on ala RS2 style, I'll let you have a look when the project is finished wink
