Mostly down to acclimatization (SP?) to how dsg operates, it took a good few miles to get used to it on our r32 after having manuals for years, but I'm a convert now so seemless when accelerating, lovely little blips on downchanges. If you want control use the paddles or gearstick in sequential mode

I would second the comments regarding DSG. You need to take it for a long test drive and experience different traffic conditions. You also need to change you're driving style to get the best out of it. It's by no means perfect but IMO it's pretty damn good and I have hated autos all my life.

It is marmite, some love it and some hate it, never seems to be anyone on the fence :-)
