'Sport information' - love it.
Apologies for asking questions, but seeing as you're the first to pick one up, what's the sat nav like? Is traffic information pretty accurate and what's the nav interface like? Have you got the standard nav or pro?
No problem, mine is standard and seems the same as my Audi, the talking lady is the same too, traffic is better than the Audi, it told me about the hold up on the motorway verbally without the navigation being set, the old one did this and I did like this feature so glad it's remained Apologies for asking questions, but seeing as you're the first to pick one up, what's the sat nav like? Sound is quite good for a stock system too, not really turned it up yet.
In Cupra mode the gear change "fart" is quite loud, flick it to mannual and accelerate to 4k and let off the exhaust sounds awesome, lots of popping.

Is there a 'bedding in period' on these cars? I.e. 3,500 max revs for 1k miles
Mine is build wk 43 so hopefully I will get the car early Dec.
Nope drove mine like I stole it, was stage 1 tuned within a week of having it.Mine is build wk 43 so hopefully I will get the car early Dec.
Mine is a MY14 which has the turbo that is prone to failure, 18k miles of hard driving and the turbo is brilliant (I check it regular when doing oil changes) where as people who have granny'd there's have had failures.

How can a colour be feminine?
If it came with boobs that might be a different matter.
Bit disappointing that there isn't something a bit more garish than the AB to be honest.
Just seen you name in the diary with a tick by it, must be a good thing for the feminine car being close 😉If it came with boobs that might be a different matter.

This will be my first lease. Are there any complications with insuring a lease car? Who do you put as the registered keeper and/or owner?
First time for me too. Anything else us noobs need to be aware of?senorblm said:
So I have just rang Seat UK Customer Service armed with my build number. I ordered via CVL in early July
The great news is that the Ship has docked today in the UK with my feminine alor blue 5dr! They said it takes up to 2 days to unload the ship and up to a further 12 to get it at the dealership
I *think* the supplying dealership is DM Keith but this has not been confirmed by CVL yet... (anyone know).
Not long now
It won't be that long, the ship mine was on docked on the Thursday morning at 6am. I was driving mine at 7pm on the Friday. It may be longer if your waiting for delivery to your door, I collected mineThe great news is that the Ship has docked today in the UK with my feminine alor blue 5dr! Dealers told me today that I can't get my car in Dynamic Grey, something to do with the chassis number on the build order.
Need to let him know what colour I want instead from these :
Red
Silver
Monsoon Grey
White
Not sure what to go for. Got a white car at the moment but fancy a change.
Bit random that, I wonder why the number makes a difference Need to let him know what colour I want instead from these :

Bit jealous of all you boys that snapped these up, was not in a position to jump on this a few months ago, was hoping the Golf R deals would come back, sadly the only deals are on 5 door Golf GTI'S and despite being a good deal they are not as great as the Golf R or Cupra Black deals.
I will keep an eye out but think I have missed the boat on anything decent until maybe next year.
I'm just hoping some really good deals are about in 2 years time otherwise i'm going to have a really difficult job explaining to the wife that this Cupra was a good idea I will keep an eye out but think I have missed the boat on anything decent until maybe next year.
Just in case anyone is interested I thought i'd give my first weeks review of the Cupra.
So far its now done 231 miles, collected with 6 on it.
I put £30 of V Power in it last week, when I refueled today it had covered 138 miles on that £30 and averaged 26.9MPG, mix of Motorway and town, the motorway stint was showing around 34mpg as an average.
It has taken a few people on joyrides, 1 of them from the seat forum who is coming out of a Golf R for one and wanted a look at one as he had ordered blind, said he preferred the sounds and look of it.
Father in law took it for a drive and thought he'd broken it with how loud the DSG fart was, it does sound awesome of full chat
Wife has driven it once for about 1 mile, doesn't seem so keen as the MK2, no probs shes been using the Audi this week so win win
Cupra mode will get a bit annoying with the fake noise I feel, its best in the comfort dynamic when driving normally, you can still hear the exhaust but you don't get the fake noise.
Goes round corners really well, in fact, i'd go as far as to say extremely well, feels very planted.
Still love the dynamic grey, Bucket Seats are really nice, room in the back is compromised slightly, my kids feet both touch the seats with ease now.
Only bad points so for me are:
It seems to have a knock on turning slowly on any more than slight lock, would take it back but its a leaser so cant be bothered.
I'm paranoid leaving it anywhere, if i could bring it in the house I would
Sound thing will get annoying for me
Back doors shut with a real mk1 fiesta tinny noise to them, sounds a bit cheap (really minor thing)
Sat Nav is good but really seems hard to navigate quickly, Audi one is quite intuitive as was the old Leon one, this seems very busy
Overall its a car that looks like a civilised hatch, then one press of the accelerator and it changes character, a really good all rounder in my opinion.
Glad I made the move

Thanks for the write up jonwm. I think any car no matter how expensive (or cheap) will have bad points. We have a similar issue when turning in the Golf, not too bothered about it as you say because it's a lease. Hasn't got any worse over the year and lots of people reporting similar problems on the R forum with some paying a visit to the dealership only to be told it's all ok.
Would be interested for anyone to give their opinions having come from a Golf R (assume you're not one of them jonwm?)
No, I came from a MK2 FR and previous to that MK1 Cupra R, I'm not really the main user, its my wife so don't think she'll be too bothered about the knocking, it just did it twice on the way to to get my daughter from nursery grr.Would be interested for anyone to give their opinions having come from a Golf R (assume you're not one of them jonwm?)

I met up with a guy from Seatcupra net the other day, he had a Golf R on lease and we both went out in each others car, i'd not been in an R before, biggest thing I noticed was the grip and lower noise levels from the exhaust / soudthingy, he did have it turned off though which you cant do in the Cupra.
