I've dropped my interest. Price is steeper then the 420i that i've got my name down for.
Suspect they increased the prices when the wave of referrals starting coming in.

the 35 engine is quite gutless, and needs to be worked hard.
I've been in quicker 1.4 engines.
Interesting. I ran the previous manual B9 A4 with a 1.4 150bhp unit and the new '35' 2 litre appears to have a little more torque (199lb ft vs. 184lb ft).I've been in quicker 1.4 engines.
Plus I'm hoping the 7 speed auto in my incoming Avant might help the experience vs. the ludicrous turbo lag that the manual had.
I know it's going to be no rocket ship, but will be fine for a family wagon doing local journeys and the odd holiday trip in the UK.
(looks wistfully at old photos of his M135i pre-kids).
The auto should def improve things a little but it is a heavier bulkier car and performance figures of 0-60 in 9 seconds suggest its not the quickest.
Very nice looking car though and great interior with nice toys.

Yeah it does look quite decent in white - and I'm not a fan of white cars at all. I've got a metallic white one due for delivery in the next couple of weeks so when I saw those pics I was less apprehensive about it. Ironically, I had the option of Daytona grey 40 TFSI but it was another £30 per month so gave it a miss. Would've been ideal though if cheaper!
My worry with white is that I will look like I'm trying been cool and having some midlife crisis lol and importantly the chavs may iike it more and want to nick it. I guess its only 2 years we got it for. That Avant looks great! If there are any referrals going I would really appreciate one! My deals is up in March so looking to get one ordered soon.
Does anyone know generally if you order now for next year if the prices quoted tend to be for the next year model or are the sites quoting current models trying to shift stock before the end of the year? Seems to be some really good prices on the A4's online at the moment.
