A real thorough PDI inspection then. I'd be kicking up a fuss with the supplying dealer. Discounted first service is what id be aiming for.

A text this morning tells me my arteon had arrived at the dealer. It’s only a month later than I wanted it delivered.

Shame I cancelled it about 6 months ago due to uncertainty around delivery times.

I will definitely be kicking up a fuss. Their solution was to phone my local dealership to investigate, which I did. Their response was that washer bottle issues are usually damage-related and therefore wouldn't be covered under warranty. I've booked it in (in a week's time) and I will be without the car for a minimum of two days. We'll see what comes of it.

I was going to write to VW anyway about the shambles of the ordering process. I'm even more resolved to now.

Ironically, the car hasn't even left my drive yet.

As far as I'm aware, its part of the ACC function, it just does it automatically when the ACC is set, at least my 280PS MY2018 does it that way, wouldn't recommend using it anywhere other than the motorway mind!

Mine ordered in January works out 340 a month over 2 years 10k miles per year but that’s standard urano paint and no options

Where have you been told October 19? That’s a massive delay, if mine is pushed back a similar amount then I will be forced to cancel my order.

Anyone here recently ordered or taken delivery of an Arteon SE? (190 DSG)

Broker is quoting a 12-week lead time, just wanted to gauge how realistic this is. I do very much like the idea of an Arteon, but maybe not so much I'm willing to wait a year for one like a few people have! (Fair play to them)

Ordered end of August, quoted January. It arrived in the country last week, just waiting for a delivery date but expecting it soon (ish)

Ordered mine September. Quoted Mid November, it’s currently on Stage 5 on the tracker - in transit so will probably be slightly early. I don’t think I’ve seen any SE’s anywhere so must be first models arriving now..ish .

Just returned from an Arteon test drive.

Dealer advised me supposedly only R-Line Arteons are in production at the moment and SE model production is on hold until Week 48 / December, then a 12 week lead time after that. read

That literally makes no sense. Why a 12 week lead time after they start production? It’s 3 weeks or less from production to dealers on the Arteon. They either want to sell you an R line or have no allocation available.
