Mine’s at the dealer and will be delivered on Monday biggrin only downside is that there is only one key currently and when the second one arrives I’ll have to take it to my local dealer to code

You decided not to collect it in person then?

I’ll take the free delivery seeing as it’s up in Stratford upon Avon and I’m way down south

Understood - hopefully it will arrive by trailer? When I leased the Arteon from Listers there they said I couldn't collect it but they would drive it to me for free. I basically told them absolutely no way and I want to collect it personally or have it trailered to me - no way is anyone going to enjoy the first journey in my brand new car other than me!

Previous two cars have been from Listers and both have been trailered down

Should be OK then, I like Listers (have a Tiguan on order with them). Re the Up!, I signed the finance docs this evening and was told the reg number - hopefully will be training it down to Kent next week to pick her up. Just realised I haven't driven a manual gearbox car on a UK road for about ten years!

It’s only been 2 years for me. Arteon is actually my first auto but I’m so looking forward to a manual smile

Mine will be delivered sometime between 9-5 but driver will call an hour before arrival which will give me time to dump the Arteon on my mums drive and swap the insurance over

Anyone had pads/discs replaced on their car yet? Mine is nearly 3 years old, 45k and just starting to feel like they might need replacing soon....

Is it worth finding an Arteon with the Harmon-Kardon or Dynaudio system?
Or what's the basic Audio system like?

Cannot speak for the HK, but I have the Dynaudio, and it is fantastic.
Bass is unreal, and the system generally really can go too loud for me.
No clue on the HK, probably very similar, but both options are SUPER rare to find on the cars, so worth looking for.

Dynaudio is brilliant on VW's. Not heard HK in a VW myself but on some Golf mk8 forums are saying it is nowhere near as good.

OK, mine has gone now. 69reg 2.0 TSI SE in Urano.

24k miles in 2y 3m at 41mpg calculated. Was a great car to drive and own/lease. Only one service needed and nothing else as an expense. I liked the car and I would have bought it had BCA not been trying to extract the urine, even with the issue below.

i would caution people for one big reason, the infotainment. Absolute garbage. Standard audio is st, my Skoda Superb was way better. And the headunit would progressively loose functions as you drove, before just turning itself off... What was real fun is the fact it would loose track of where you where via GPS. Which led to all sorts of fun if you happened to be driving in lane 4 on the M25 using ACC and Predictive function, when the car thinks you are driving around the Kingston ring road....At the service in November, the dealers did precisely nothing to fix it, claiming that they would call me when an update is available, to no-one's surprise I am still waiting for that call.

Other than that, the car was exemplary. Economical, comfortable, quiet and calming on a run. Mine was 'enhanced' with a little box of tricks that had it running 0-60 in 6.5 secs, so it always quick enough and sometimes a little too quick. Thank you TDI Tuning!

Overall an awesome car, but it needs the infotainment issues to be fixed otherwise it will be a frustrating ownership for whoever follows. I kind of got used to it and accepted my fate, others may not be so willing to concede.

That's interesting because I'm considering doing the same. Mine's coming to an end in September and I can't get a price until the last 2 months of the lease. Prices are all over the place, and it probably doesn't help that there haven't been that many sold.

Mine is coming up to 50.000km (5 year lease) - use is significantly reduced owing to Covid.

I've both batteries replaced as part of the start-stop system update - although I never noticed a problem as I ususally switch it off.

Anyone had any significant problems to report? I hear that the DSG gearboxes can sometimes be problematic.

Mine was MOT'd yesterday and failed on cords showing for one or the rear tyres. The garage said it looked like a manafacturing defect so might be worth checking your cars

Only noticeable when on the lift.

51k miles.

Well I just found my old Arteon is going up for sale at Arnold Clark. Priced at £23k it is significantly less than the £25k that BCA wanted from me to buy the car in January, prices appear to softening.

My Arteon leaves on Tuesday, just under 62k now.

It's been a good car, no reliability issues and has been cheap to run. Should be a good purchase for someone 2nd hand, cleaned the inside at the weekend and it's spotless.

Just transferred the money to buy my Arteon from the leasing company. Was a bit more than I expected but I can reclaim the VAT and they give a 1 year full guarantee on the car.

Replacement car (electric Volvo 4x4) arrives Tuesday but I'm not expecting it to be as good or get as much use. Unfortunately the only vehicles which are fully tax-deductible for companies over here are full electric. Even hybrids don't count.

Annoyingly, I've only just been told that the Volvo has a relatively low charging speed so it is unable to take advantage of the high-speed chargers which are currently being installed at many motorway services. I could have chosen a Tesla which would have had a better range - and faster charging - but that would involve personal contributions every month. I always had that opportunity in the past - to get upgraded models or more options - but I've always chosen to stay within budget.

My work occasionally involves long distance road trips at short notice, and I'm not convinced that electric vehicles are there yet. Plan is to expense the Arteon on trips where long range (and fewer delays) are needed.

The price I paid was in line with the BCA price quoted by Reffro...

Despite the car being returned in early March, it's still not reached the used forecourt yet. MOT ran out this week.

Very strange.
