Maybe check a little deeper, it is nothing like the same gearbox, as said the vw is transverse while the Audi is longitudinal. mybrainhurts said:

In the most basic terms, they are both using a 'DSG' gearbox, however the mechanical make up of the unit is completely different for those vehicles designed around a transverse engine with the gearbox bolted on the side, with potentially Haldex 4x4 to the back, and those with a longitudinal engine like the A4/5/6/8 which are predominantly torsen 4x4
