We had the update installed to our 2015 vw sharan, it worked for 4000 miles before having all the same issues yet again, so we have gone down the route of having it re mapped at a tuning shop to remove the adblue all together....let's hope this is the end to our woes....

I had the Yellow Spanner at about 25k miles. Audi put a new injector in my A6 BiTDi.

The car had extended warranty but I wasn't charged any excess so wondered if it was being done as a 'known fault and repair as needed', rather than a recall.

Hi has this tuning worked for you long term? Has it caused any issues with mot? I am debating doing this i havent been as lucky as others. I took my car to an audi approved garage who changed the pump, that hasnt solved the issue. So i just took it to a full audi garage and as car is out of warranty, i think they are trying to milk me, they are on about restarting the diagnostic process. They said they wanna check the cables and its going to cost me £220 just to check them on top of the initial £60 i gave them to plug on to read the error.

What happened? We just had a knock sensor wave bye bye after I filled up with adblu, five months out of warranty.

Depending on your service history, worth asking dealer for a goodwill repair.

My bmw that replaced my audi had a similar issue 6 months out of warranty but full service history so repaired under goodwill without a second thought from them.
