High miler VAG diesels?
Discussion
I just bought a 2004 A4 1.9tdi 130 SE on 121,000- it is a very tidy car with lots of main dealer stamps.
It will have an oil change and I believe the belts are every 80k. They were changed 5 years ago at 67k so I think I am good for a while before doing them again.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is one that will be soldier on and on. I probably won't more than 8k per year but it is a comfy place to sit and I am surprisingly chuffed at it for a daily. I expect to have a very comfortable commute this winter versus bike and wet weather gear last year...

Yes that's the latest advice. Sure it used to be 4 rather than 5 years too.Interesting thread as currently having a discussion with a family member about what it is worth spending on an 11 year old car with 130 bhp 1.9 TDI engine we'll maintained and with 103k on clock.

Over 5 years since my last post. Still same car 2003 130bhp pd AVF. Still no problems what so ever. Remapped since 80k ish to 160bhp original clutch n flywheel. Nothing breaks on this car. Now sitting on 208k not so regular oil changes and it’s doing fine. Also have a 2013 2.0tdi CR 150bhp On 176k. Also been a strong car nothing really gone wrong with it. Hope VW Audi strong reliability continues
My 58-plate VW Jetta 2.0 TDI is on 177k, been very reliable. Needed a new turbo at 129k, and recently had the cambelt done. Still runs really nicely, it's gonna be a hard vehicle to replace.
I've driven just over 150k in it since I bought it a little over 8 years ago. Before that I had a 56-plate Fabia VRS which I also loved, but was a bit cramped for me.
