Have been using this fuel in between filling the tank with Sainburys city diesel and Shell diesel.. I have noticed a real difference when using the BP Ultimate, the car is smoother and more responsive, not measured the fuel economy yet. The only down side is that you pay a real premium for it...

I've tried it in my A4 3.0 TDi, couldn't really tell the difference, other than the considerable higher cost per tank.

One of the reasons you will notice is that Sainsburys City Diesel is by far the worst diesel I've ever used in a number of cars, I avoid it like the plague now.

I haven't noticed any difference in my A6 3.0 tdi, neither on economy or performance. I dont use sainsburys fuel but Tesco seems fine.

I use the petrol version of ultimate in my Ginetta and that makes a real difference, but I cant see the same benefits with diesel

Tried it in an A6 3.0 once - noticed no difference & got in trouble for putting posh go juice on my fuel card!

I don't have experience with tdi maps but petrol turbo cars will run more power and better mpg on higher octane ratings so tdis should too. Especially common rail units.

On non turbo cars the amount of possible self advance is negligible and better will only make it run sghtly cooler.

I haven't tried exotic diesel in my 2.7tdi.
