DSG – function of button on shifter?
Discussion
Hello all
I expect this might be a totally idiotic question, so forgive me. I've recently bought a 2016 Polo GTi with the DSG box. I'm sure it's in the owner's manual (which I don't have with me right now) but I've been trying to figure out what the silver button on the shift knob does. Google does not seem to help. Can anyone enlighten me, please?
Thanks in advance!

If it’s anything like my DSG box, you press it to remove the car from park to drive, but you can move freely between D N R without it when stationary
You can freely move between D/S and N without pressing the button. R is locked out with the button. I think you can shift out of R into N but not the other way round.Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
