Hi all
Strange comparison in some eyes
Currently have my 997 CSR up for sale at RPM Technik and run a lovely Audi B5 S4 as a daily (owned twice)
With current climates am considering selling the S4 as well and running “1 car does all” scenario ....
The RS6 is the obvious choice to me for obvious reasons..... imperious stunning and unbelievable performance.... all of which comes at a cost
Enter the Golf R ... ok no RS6 but a great drive well equipped and not shabby in the performance stakes...... and relatively cheap to run
Thoughts please

Hi Guys
I guess it’s a situation brought on by current climates I’m a Area manager for a pub group (that should give you some insight) and am just feeling a little out of kilter. I don’t do finance so there’s a pool of money available for my car addiction and it’s a case of making that work. What I need is a bigger budget smile I know it’s a cliche but you always want a pound more than you’ve got.
Unfortunately I just don’t like the look of the Panamera so that’s a non starter. I’ve had 8 RS4’s (B5 & B7) and fancied something “different “ and personally the C7 RS6 is just a very compelling package.
I’m now considering keeping the CSR and selling the S4 (see pistonheads classifieds) and having one daily.
Head before heart it’s leaning towards Golf R. I think it’ll hold value better and worst case I can change it after 6 months if I’m not bonding with it. RS6 values look like they are starting to come down so might be the best plan all round and bag a bargain RS6 in 6-12 months
