My 2006 Leon 2.0TDI had a slight "wobble" when it was revved gently and held at around 1500rpm, very slight and definately on/off but you could feel it through the cabin. The revs would remain constant but you could feel something there.

Then I borrowed a 2004 A4 2.0TDI and it has the same characteristic - this time at normal idle.

Then I get my car back from a cambelt change and now mine does it at idle.

Anyone know what I am talking about? Am I going mad?rolleyes

Yes you can feel it through the clutch, probably because most parts of the cabin pick it up too.

Suppose it could be the engine mounts but the inbalance must be from the internals of the engine - hence mine got worse after a cambelt change.

I should check with your dealer that your engine isn't part of the mass recall for a dodgy batch of dual mass flywheels.

My wife's 2003 A3 TDI was called in for the change & I remeber that many VAG engines were affected. Some caught fire too...
yikes

Will give them a bell then!
