Hi Guys
I've bought a 2007 RS4 engine from a wrecked car that comes complete with all sensors / ancillaries.
I plan to use this in my kit car project.
Is there any point in me keeping the ECU?
My previous experience of OEM ECU's is that they are pretty much useless if you don't have the original keys for the car it came out of. Even then, you also run into problems galore when you start removing things like a/c and p/s functions as the ECU will continue to try and look for them and fault find.
I guess that the question is... how flexible is the RS4 ECU - can it be comprehensively re-mapped?
Thanks

Now trying to decide whether I use my Porsche G50 box or do I sell it and go for a 6-speed Audi 01X box?
Anyone have any opinions?
I understand that the G50 will allow me to have a slightly lower install and is a bit stronger, but I then have to start faffing about with adaptors, starters, etc.
I suppose my questions is - can the 01X box be uprated for RS4 type power (and if so, who can do the work)?
Cheers
Scotty
