Just opened up the garage doors with next door neighbour (who as it turned out is a bike/car nut), response was brilliant, "Oh my God" he said, "A TVR", "and it's a Chimaera... that's just absolutely... Oh, hang on, sorry, thought it was a Griffith. Shame ... really sorry about that, must pay more attention"
Now now ChilliWhizz, surely your mum told you telling half stories is as bad as telling fibs. So I fixed that for you.ChilliWhizz said:

Oh, hang on, sorry guys, just realised I'm posting on the wrong thread/forum... really sorry about that, must pay more attention
No problem.Been travelling a bit with work, finally had a weekend at home so covers came off for first time this year
Started first time, (my how I''ve missed that sound!) Did a few little jobs but resisting temptation to go for a blast as the gritters are still out in sunny Cumbria
Rubbish iPad photos, but...
Fitted new Leven pedals, (Xmas prezzy)
New braided hose for oil catch tank...
Got to use my birthday prezzy in anger too, knocking up various spacers, sleeves and generally mucking about turning nice alloy bar into swarf
Just need to find the source of a slight coolant drip, check tyres then wait for the next downpour to clear the salt, (ie sometime in the next 6 hours) then we're off!

This morning I are mostly be fitting a new coil.
Car died last night after maybe 20 miles - only 1/2 mile from home fortunately - but started ok today.
Coil was stamped col220 - which from searching on here suggests it's original 1997 vintage. I think it is the only original factory part left in the ignition system ,so was hopefully the cause of the fault - fuel pumping, just zilch ignition.
Resistance under 6k ohms, new Bosch prc6574 over 9k ohms.
Ign amp is genuine Lucas and new. I'm hoping the heat got to the old coil....
Dear PH, have I fixed it? Anyone know what resistance these should be?

Finally got round to fixing the leak from my power steering pipery by fitting a Johnyz pipe kit. Bit of a fiddle to get at the pipe connections and the pump was worryingly noisy when I started the car after fitting the kit, but once the air was expelled from the system turning the wheel lock to lock it all quietened down. V pleased with the kit and no more leaks.
