It's easy to do that Tubbs! You just change the rev limiter wink

Just get in plenty of practice catching all your engine bits first evilhehe

Have you had the Lucas tweaked for rpm then Eric? I'm not sure I'd want to try without mappable ignition, getting vacuum, springs & weights to cope might just be a watchmakers nightmare hehe

What did your builder say the bottom end was good for?

Seven six or something silly, but that may have been before he decided against mechanical lifters. wink

Not normally no - but a short stab when stationary (in a tunnel biggrin) was enough to send it thereabouts and I found no rev limiter as of yet - on the road I think I had six and a quarter or so at some point.

If yours was the same as mine was rev limiter only cuts in just over 6500rpm Eric.. (twas the std 4.3 chip as marked) mmmmm bloody limiters just when I'm having fun irked

You realize you can install a TW and use an ECU to to fuel & mapped ign via the coil dizzy Eric ~ I know you want to keep it looking original hehe

Why would I - the main reason I updated the engine management on the Saab was to get rid of that dizzy. wink TBH my feeling is to leave well enough alone - it's just so driveable and tractable with the standard stuff (TVR Power eprom upgrade being the only 'mod' on that side) it's sort of unreal.
