Waiting to borrow a flaring tool to redo two of the hyd m/cylinder pipes on the wing of the car. Anyone used a portable flaring tool on the car?

Yes. Not impossible but a lot easier with a vice to hold the die unit.

Don't move the plunger if the pedal travel was OK before the problem.

Won't get my email till late this evening.

I will be using a portable vice with grooved jaw. Hope there is enough slack length in the pipe to rebend and fit allowing for cutting off the old fittings.

Has anyone replaced any of the hydraulic pipes from the m/cyl to the manifold in the pedal box? If so is it straightforward to insert the pipe through the bulkhead? Might be easier to remove and flare off the car at a motor factors and refit.
