Hi, are there any alternatives available that are a bit more substantial? The current item seems very flimsy to me!

Thanks

A recent discussion on the Facebook group, someone was thinking about making a better one. I will have to check on progress.

If you have a couple of weeks to spare and care to go back throught the through the Griff' forum pages then there is quite a bit about the subject.
However the links and photos no longer work, which is a shame especially about the the telescopic one.

I'm sad yesin that I'm working my way back page by page looking for nothing in particular, some interesting stuff especially about regulars that were once newcomerslaugh

cool

The search function on PH is poor, but not hard to see at the menu line next to 'My Stuff.'

Searching a normal browser using 'Griffith bonnet stay Pistonheads.' this is at the top:

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=66...

Lots of others too.

There seems to be a growing amount of re-builds using original factory parts only even if they are a bit naff.
Ten years back or more it was all about changing the naff bits but cars are more desirable with those flimsy bits fitted.

Made my own. Main brace is a 10mm alloy bar with another bar which latches on to it it’s totally rigid now, the factory stay was ‘interesting’

Rivet counters always want the original bits... Best bet is to keep the factory tat and squirrel it away for when they come round to view.
