Does your Targa panel have this stitched channel?

Well, pretty much as the title says.
I've been to see the hood chap about recovering the targa panel when I've got it fixed and he can't get a replacement panel section the same as was in the kit but he thinks he can get the material. The only difference I can see is this channel which is stitched in over the doors.
He says he can stitch me a couple of them in but I don't know if its worth the trouble.
Oh, I also found out the bugger had put the new cover over the top of the old one and only glued it around the edges. That might explain why it was such a swine to fit and it's even possible it was a contributor to it ejecting. Needless to say it will be nice and clean when he gets it back for the new fabric.

When I re-covered mine I noticed that the stitched channel over hangs the edge of the roof a bit, adding some distance between the stitched edge and the glass of the door. I guess the over hang would have some effect at stopping rain water running straight into a slightly open window. A bit like roof tiles over hanging the edge of a house?!? It's not too hard to stitch either. There are some re-trim instructions on The Griffith Pages.

I'll pass on the notes from The Griffith Pages to the guy at the hood centre Simon, in the mean time I'd better find some glue remover or Panel Wipe because the adhesive left behind on the panel now I've taken the mohair off is a bugger to get off any way I've tried so far.
Oh, and the sealant around the edges looks like a good tip too, I'll see what he says about doing that too.

My mum did indeed do the stitching for me.. Mummy's Boy and proud !! 
Never someone to shy from a challenge, I would have tried to do it myself but mum's are born with sewing machines, the ability to sew and a desire to help their children !! Children are grateful for their parents help and happy to let them get on with it !!
Took her a few minutes, probably would have taken me a few hours and some wonky stitching !!
