Wow, I didn't realise TVR actually got as far as producing a brochure for the AJP V8 engined Griffith?
Having a look through some TVR brochures I found one that covers the following three models & engine packages:
1. TVR "S" offered with V6 & V8 engines
2. TVR Chimaera offered with 4.0 litre or 4.3 litre Rover V8 engines
3. TVR Griffith offered with 4.2 litre AJP V8 only (no Rover V8 option)
THE FRONT COVER:
THE AJP V8 GRIFFITH SPECIFICATION:
I assume this is quite a rare brochure, perhaps it was never even officially released to the public?
Has anyone else seen a copy like this?

Awesome,
Griffith with 4.2 AJP V8,
would be the ultimate Griff.
Anybody know about a factory original one made and sold?
It was never made commercially available.Griffith with 4.2 AJP V8,

There is one car on here that was John Ravenscroft's development car and that had several engines including the AJP and Speed 6. It has been restored and now runs an AJP so that's the nearest you'll get to an 'official' TVR AJP engined Griffith.
Clive Ford built himself one but that was a conversion.

AIUI there were three development mules. The CF was one of them; it was converted to a 500 and then Clive converted it back to an AJP in his own special way. There is also a white one that Gaffer was in when her father had the car and another blue one.
I think you are probably confusing Cliff Ford with Mykey Virggin ?IIRC Dave (mack) had a mule & was it flipflops another one?
I have dementia off pat now anyway
here you go, always happy to post up an old pic or 2
tuned 4.2, 410bhp, 370ft/lbs torque, wheelspin in 3rd, very happy to face round the other way if not gentle on the throttle, brilliant fun.
mike virgos is the orignal development car, mine was a 500 that I got fed up with, and was actually talked into the ajp conversion by mike over a couple of pints at the growl a few years ago.

as there was only ever the yellow AJP Griff (at the time) as far as I'm aware.
FFG
No, that was the AJP6.FFG
To illustrate the point here's a pic of L110 BFV with a Speed 6 engine, now Mike Virgo's AJP as referred to above.
The yellow 'Speed 6 Griffith' was cut-up
