Stranded in croydon surrey..
Discussion
Here we go again,, any one who knows me will remember me spend a small fortune on upgrading my braking system (1250.00) At a well know place that im not allowed to name..
Taking car to work this morning , Yes i know it was pooring down, But we where quiet at work so thought get some one to pull off down pipes & remove the pre catts,
Anyway only made it half way & no brakes at all. No brake fluid at all in resevoir at all.. Glad it happened in traffic and not last sunday on the hoom..2 hrs waiting for recovery track..
Any way after all the trouble i've had with the brakes, I've got a independent engineering comming out early next week for a full report before i start down the court route..

Chuffing southerners, thats your problem Yellowgriff.
You need to get ooop north where we know how to work on cars, not poncy playboy yachts. They probably thought "its fibreglass therefore its a boat and doesn't need brakes"
But down south we dont have to save up for petrol..........You need to get ooop north where we know how to work on cars, not poncy playboy yachts. They probably thought "its fibreglass therefore its a boat and doesn't need brakes"
A while back I started to organise a group buy and dropped the idea. The original thread was here
I received several emails from people who had previous experience of having fitted them. There was a wide variety of satisfaction. After reading the emails, I fitted TVR/AP callipers.
Yellowgriff and I belong to the same TVRCC local group and I also took his experiences into consideration.

Well for me I have fitted hispec six pot units on the front under standard estroils. Also fitted the hispec rear calipers on the rears with no problems. Used the cl pads from Brummie and find the brakes a good improvement over the previous wilwood brakes.
Only prob I had with hispec is that the rear kit doesn't fit on a 500 without changing the rear upright brackets for standard Serria ones.
There is also a other chimaera with the same setup without any problems
