I have had my 95 500 griff since january and last weekend was the first chance i've had since buying the car to have a good look underneath. The underside is in very good condition and was duely treated to a coating of wax oil. However one thing which concerned me was there seemed to be a cover missing from the lower quarter of the fly wheel, the surface around there and inside was very clean which made me think the cover has not been off long. After a prompt call to TMS where the car was bought from they assued me that very few cars had this cover on from the factory. only the later ones!
Does any one know if this is true or had any problems because the cover is not there?
Why would the factory not bother putting a protective cover on?

Thanks!!!
