A friend has a woody traveller which is currently a restored, painted shell and a box of bits.

I'm going to try and put it together over the next few months, but am unsure as to the best way to fit the wood.

It's a slightly daunting task as I had nothing to do with the dismantling or restoration of the car, and I know the wood is in good condition but off a different vehicle.

I belive it was offered up to the car during the restoration, but it's not been on since it was painted.

Any tips on refitting the wood?

Thanks in advance

Neil

Cooperman - we're taking the sportpack down to Chris S on Saturday so I'll pick his brains while I'm there

Thanks wildfire, any info would be appreciated.

It's ok thanks Ian, you keep the no-nails for when fit your new subframe. Sheared the rest of the bolts off yet?

Hi Peter

Sorry we missed you Saturday. Came down a bit earlier then went onto the Gallaria at Hatfield.

Turns out Chris is a fan of VW Golfs as well. He helped me out with a couple of small problems on mine, and found me a rustfree tailgate for £25

Catch up with you soon

Neil
