clutch adjustment

hi guys,
ive got a pre-verto clutch in my 84 mini sprite. The pedal has probably got 2 inches of movement at the top until it seperates. thus making it quite interesting in standing traffic. My problem is the cluth isn't slipping so i was wondering is there any way of adjusting it?

no the pedal is as hard as normal, but the bite point has been working its way up the cluth and now its right at the top. there is no wear in the linkage.
ive bought a new clutch arm yesterday i was wondering if it was worth changing that? i hear they can bend over time?

thats the weird thing tho. the bite point has worked its way from the bottom to the top? is that normal? i can't understand why it's not slipping.
