Hey guys...

I just inherited my fiance's 1990 fiesta popular plus... rusted to hell and a dying clutch... It ain't going to pass its MOT in july, so its just a cheap run-a-round for me to run into the ground as its my first car since passing my test over a year ago.

Thing is, since the infamous ex-boyfriend with the bright yellow mini, I have wanted one of the little critters, and after getting an insurance quote for something along the lines of a mini thou, I was pleasantly surprised...

Does anyone know of where (preferably in the north-east) there is a little mini looking for a good home...? I know its a tall order, but preferably one that is cheap AND rust free so I don't have to sweet talk dad into repairing for me

I have heard of the one in sunderland, I think my ex went there for parts. I saw one advertised recently for £300, absolutely gorgeous, but when I phoned about it, it had gone instantly!

My ex has no friends!! No, seriously!

My dad and my fiance are pretty good with cars and know what they are talking about, but my dad isn't overly keen on the idea of a mini, due to the age and condition of most of them.

I had a look on ebay, but the problem with them is you have to view them before you bid, or take the risk of buying a heap without viewing it, and most on there seem to be miles away!

I will get in touch with the 'piston broke' mini club that my ex was in, see if they can help
