Some better tyres should be your first, and possibly only, purchase.

tyres direct offer a good range.

Waterproofing the electrics as described would help you enjoy your days more as would a decent front towing point.

A snorkle and lift kit a waste of money and detriment IMHO

If you're not going to lift it then be prepared to spend a fortune on underbody protection.

I can see that a standard fuel tank would benefit from a plate under it but what else is there to protect?

Also remember the efi ecu is on the floor under the drivers seat so you don't want to go into water any deeper than the door sills.

If you are going in the water then changing the viscous fan for a electric will help as the engine driven fan lifts the water up and over the engine.

Toms Farm =

Respect, I know that gulley, its v.steep and rocky. Did it go down without sliding away? Only ever winched up/down it myself as I'd always figured it would slide out of control and probably roll!

driven down it several times now. i can even stop 'halfway' and hold it there. more grip than i expected on those rocks. i have seen a 90 standing on the bullbar when he cocked it up though.
i always winch up, as driving just isnt happening yet. more mods must get more mods...
