Mustard, you want odds of ideally 7.00+ to make it worthwhile for a free SNR ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Aim for 75%+ = £7.50 profit out of £10
I'm getting there slowly! any pointers for snifing out 'better' these opportunitys, all the ones i've been looking out seem to be coming in £6 odd or less![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

Get a list of today's matches up at the bookie. Scan down looking for odds 5-10, now I use the mobile app to quickly do the same at BF, or you could open BF in another window. Those 2 matches I suggested above took a couple of mins

Tom et al, I've added your suggestion to Post No. 1. But I'm happy to assist, we're all newbs! Soon you and the others will be confident to jump in and answer others yourself, and this helps us all learn

Thanks, info & my version of matcher.xls sent.Anybody else dared download Ultimatcher3.08 (and the instructions) yet?
It is an awesome bit of kit. In fact the most enjoyment I am getting from this is updating it after every result

You need some kind of spreadsheet/notebook to keep track of where money is and what the next offer is anyway.
Yeah, I just do a manual bookie adjustment for BF credits. For bank a/c I've also created a sheet where I keep a note of money in and out. I've also an 'In Transfer' account - so out from bookie into 'in transfer' then out to bank a/c after the 2 or 3 days it takes for it to hit the a/c.
Just helps me keep track of things, necessary when I don't use internet banking on my MB bank account.

Yes, one has to be careful not to upset bookies with obvious regular arbing, they don't like that ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
Unlikely to happen with football, even though you'll stumble across the odd arb opportunity.
Jonnas, just use matcher.xls until you're comfortable. It's easy to load a few done bets into Ulti later.

Here's a bit about WR offers. The other day I suggested that one starts with the simple SNR offers with no Wagering Requirement from the mainstream bookies.
I've just done my first WR offer (BWin). It's only small, deposit £25 get a £25 bonus. It's SR but (as is usual with SR) if you win at the bookie you have a wagering requirement (WR), with this offer you have to bet through 5 x bonus = £125 before you can withdraw your winnings.
So I bet low quali odds as usual (Stake 50, Stake forfeit 0 - but deduct £25 stake from the matched profit shown on matcher), but high enough to cover the whole WR if it won @ bookie.
To return £125 from £50 that meant odds of at least 2.5. I found a reasonable match around 3.3:3.4 which showed a matched return of £21.79 from my £25 free bonus, 87%.
Now, that's all very well if the bet wins on the lay side. But if bookie side, I've then got the WR to go through. Treated like a qualifier, I reckon to lose 5% = £6 of the £125 WR, so I decided to underlay my £50 bet - to provide a truly matched return whatever the result.
In Ultimatcher I can manually amend the lay stake to get the results I want. The auto matcher calculates lay stake of £49.25 for that matched return of £21.79 By amending the lay stake to £47.50 (hence underlaying) it gives amended profits of £26 bookie side and £20.13 lay side, reflecting the extra £6 I need should it win at the bookies.
(You can do this in matcher, by overwriting in the lay stake cell - but be careful not to save it like that!)
Of course, my bet won on the bookie side and I just bet the WR all in one go again. £125 at 1.07:1.12 (luckily no min odds) to give a matched loss of £6.25
Lay liability was tiny on such small odds (£15).
So, if this WR bet wins at the bookie (it probably will at those odds!) I can withdraw from there with my £26-6.25 = £19.75 profit out of that £25 offer (79%)
If it wins on the lay it's the same result, and I only have to withdraw my balance from the bookie. (My £50 bet returned £165 and I bet the WR £125 out of this leaving a £40 balance)
Any questions?![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)

Follow up from my WR essay late last night.
T&Cs can sometimes be ambiguous. Take this extract from Bwin's £25:
The complete amount deposited must be wagered at least once and the bonus at least 5 times on one or more sports bets exclusively at bwin before a withdrawal is possibleI read that as: place the whole bet then if it wins the WR is 5xbonus.
What it actually means is place the whole bet, then if it wins the WR is 1xdeposit + 5xbonus.
I'd calculated £125 for the WR, it is actually £150. (I found this out when trying to withdraw, it wouldn't let me withdraw the £25 bonus)
So I've lost 30p in having to do another £25 'qualifier' to meet the WR.
Not a biggie, but a lesson to always read the T+Cs carefully!

If anyone's looking for a good qualifier match tonight with no min odds requirement, look beyond tonight's Euro matches to the SPL Celtic v Dunfermline game.
Most bookies offering good odds on Celtic Win, like 1.18:1.19 @ BF
If you are working towards your first BF £25 bonus, this will not count towards that either - only bets placed 1.20+ count. So if BF lay price moves out again to 1.20 it will count.
Don't try and lay@1.20 when there is liquidity @ 1.19 - BF automatically give you the best odds!

Betfair just called me up and gave me a Free £50 bet!
If i stake £50, they will give me £50 whether i win or lose, sounds like a winner![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Also, my Funds are back in BF now, so i guess i need to jump on that 25% liability offer sharpish before it runs out, assuming it is time limited.
Any suitable matches tonight?

There'll be something with Lads for tonight, no worries.
I'll have a look if I get a mo.
Something similar happened yesterday. £50 free bet on a horse. Horse didn't run. £50 free bet cancelled and £50 appeared in real money balance.
Withdrawn for 100% profit

I'm gong to try this when I have some time off next month.
Couple of questions though. I already have a BetFair account, so won't receive any cashback or bonuses for joining. Will this impact greatly?
Also, I have recently signed up with Bet365 (not used by deposit bonus yet) but noticed that you have to stake the bonus value three times before you can cash out. How does this affect profits?
BF bonuses sure help out. They are partner friendly though, you just can't refer someone in the same family Couple of questions though. I already have a BetFair account, so won't receive any cashback or bonuses for joining. Will this impact greatly?

Bet 365 is a great one. BUT you need some experience and £1200 in BF to make the most of it. Put it on the back burner, read up on this offer by searching the mse forum.
Welcome by the way

Just going back to this a second. I reckon once you've next staked £50 as soon as it settles they'll credit an extra £50 into your account - that's how they work If i stake £50, they will give me £50 whether i win or lose, sounds like a winner

Nah, Shuvi's £50 was for his second ever bet with them being witheld for 3 days due to a cancelled match (which would have won his lay bet I think)
Pays to have a scan of Driving Licence / Passport ready to whizz over. It looks like BF now have to verify every new account's age: the wife had to send over a scan of hers.
Whilst I missed out on the mobile bonus (I'd used mobile just before the offer came out, grrr) she won't.
