We hired a "Disney Princess" for my nieces birthday party. £100 for 1 hour!! My Brother in Law was chatting her up but she disnae do extras.
I charge closer to £200 for an hour on average. And I'm not even worth shagging.
(And no, I don't provide a venue or food, either.)

I think bot mining/playing. like programing bots to play online poker whatever and make small sums of money based on a probability to you (usually against humans0 aim to make about £5 per hour. Have 100 of these playing 24 hour = profit.
If you are smart enough to program a bot that is actually is +ev in today's games, and you are able to make it undetectable, you've just wasted a few thousand hours that could have been spent on something actually productive long term. Online poker is not the answer to anyone anymore.Shnozz said:
I was chatting to a PH'er (or certainly someone who had attended a PH organised meet) who did just that a few weeks ago. Utterly fascinating it was too. As for it being undetectable - certainly not. And in fact "welcomed" insofar as a close eye was paid to where his business was placed so as to know where the market was out of equilibrium. Oh, and the way global markets were structured meant that it was never inside Europe.
One thing I should have said in my first post is that, anyone who does create a bot is a huge unethical douche bag. Unfortunately there are networks out there that turn a blind eye to bots as they provide much needed liquidity. Most of these networks however are seeing fewer and fewer new players and are declining. Edited by NewChurch on Thursday 16th June 01:01

Keep up gross I said,
It's a tongue in cheek post
Most rich people I know spend all their time and effort earning it
The Ferrari never turns a wheel, the home cinema is never switched on, they are never there or simply don't have time.
That's very true! Lovely houses but they're in them for a few hours at the weekend, or more likely out and about with the family. Life's a balance that's for sure. It's a tongue in cheek post

Convenience stores in a half decent location should turn over 16-20k per week or 30k+ in great location, profit is in region of 18-20%. Even one that does 12kp.w will give a decent living but may have to put 8 hours a day in it.
Indigenous Brits didn't want to do the hours years ago, hence why Asians made a lucrative living pre supermarket era. You basically have to live at work.If I take a step back, the biggest incomes I have seen are property related. It makes sense, spend big, make big (assuming you do it right obviously). A few years ago a friend bought a flat for about £100k, did it up (£20k) and sold for £180k. Although it obviously involved work, effort and skill, for the income it was not hard work. No 9-5, no boss etc. It is a lot like trading cars or buying/selling anything though, the skill is in the buying. I'd say that, of all the people I know, they most/easiest money came from property.

I would have thought this was a route to absolutely NOT making money easily.I'd be surprised if the convenience store near me turned over £3k a week, barely see a soul going in there, it'd have a good margin and I'd imagine the owner owns the premises but even so.

They only really make money from lottery tickets, have a look for any for sale, the first thing mentioned is always their lottery turnover.

National Lottery retailers will earn 5% in sales commission for each draw-based game – and 6% commission on each National Lottery Scratchcard (established independent National Lottery retailers earn, on average, over £6,500 per annum in lottery commission).
Sounds about right, sell one ticket per minute, that's £120/hour or £1200/day = £60/day margin. Wind those figures up or down to what seems realistic, they aren't going to form a major part of the shops income.veevee said:

For years and years there has been one dog grooming parlour in my town and that only seemed to be open about 3 days a week, in the last 18 months a further 3 have all opened up and the original one has moved to much bigger premises... not sure where this huge increase in demand for dog grooming has suddenly come from but it certainly seems to be a money spinner.
