Does anyone have these for employees?

I have looked at my bank and barclaycard, and both charge ~£30 a year for the "privelege" of having a card.

Anyone know of any free ones?

I have American Express Business card and the service is excellent.

But most shops and retailers don't accept AMEX, so it is annoying, so I will be thinking of changing to another card issuer, Visa - most probably Barclaycard Business...

Anyone has a business card? Any good recommendations ?

We've got Visa with HSBC, but it was a new account, so effectively free for 18 months.

I'd be asking them about giving it to you free for 12 - 24 months.

TBH it is useful, especially as more places trade on the interweb and chip and pin.

We've got a low limit on it and they're not adjusting it, which is good, as someone
can't nick it and spend all of the money!!

Got Barclaycard Business and it is excellant. We have two cards and are not charged for the privilege - they are VISA as well so usable anywhere. Mainly use them for equipment purchasing, hotel stays and so on. Much better than business accounts and invoicing.

My relationship manager waived the fees on mine (with Natwest), probably worth asking nicely.

Try getting an Amex that doesnt look like one. I've got a personal amex through Lloyds TSB and it just looks like a normal visa/mastercard. Only had it knocked back once in 6 months and that was when the machine spat it back at me, attendant was happy enough for me to use it.

Relationship manager? WTF, why not just call them a bank manager or whatever.

I wonder what our goon at HSBC is called, all he ever does is ring up and try to arrange meetings to get us to take out loans, when we do ask him for a loan they are hugely overpriced (£150 setup fee, to setup what exactly?) and for someone who works in banking, he cant calculate an apr properly (I emailed him a quote and he calculated the apr at 5.something when it was actually 6.something, with NO "setup" fee.)

Bunch of jokers imo, we usually get his fornightly calls held.
