Setting up a dealership...
Discussion
I looked into this for motorbikes some time ago and it was simply a case of buying enough units.
To be a Kia dealer for example you'd have to buy say 10 units up front but for Chrysler you'd have to buy 50 and Ford 200. They also did a check of the premises to make sure they could suit the brand image and you had to be outside of the patch of other dealers and it was that simple.
I'm sure it's a smidge more complicated for cars but it's basically about them shifting cars and being well represented. If you can afford the stock and have suitable premises I can't see a problem.

Best way to become a Millioniare Car Dealership Owner is to start off with Several Million, you'll soon be down to a million before you know it!
Too true.Personally, I'd consider going down the route of small scale trading and slowly growing your business. This will give you a feel for how the trade works (it's not overly complicated but it's so easy to get your fingers burnt), it will also give you a useful network of contacts within the trade who ultimately you can call on for staffing requirments et al.
