I think the B2B forum is yet another brilliant and timely invention from our dearly beloved Ted.

Strangely enough, I have just sacked a client, so there is capacity within my small but perfectly formed PR consultancy for an IT or software client, who may have a desperate but unfulfilled need to have a strategic PR and marketing communications plan put together and implemented.

Half what I was charging when I was working for the world's largest PR company! Can put together an effective media relations campaign for surprisingly small numbers...

I'm quite happy to sack clients if they don't stick to the terms of the contract or if they become unpleasant to work with.

Much of the motivation behind breaking off and setting up my own company was that I wanted to be control my own destiny.

A client relationship is much the same as any other relationship - it needs to be symbiotic. This particular client was consistently late paying his invoices, unco-operative at providing important information and was attempting to shift the goal posts in terms of fee and objectives. All my other clients value what we provide and treat us with respect.

Doesn't it feel great?!!

Clients always believe that your world revolves around them. The look of shock and confusion when faced with a foxtrot oscar command is worth the effort alone!

Graham, if you need a little advice, you'd be amazed how far beer and tickets could go. If you want a marketing strategy and a national campaign though, you may have to dig a little deeper!

Drop me an e-mail, I'm sure I can point you in the right direction at the very least.
