Plot of land for building

I'm after a small plot of land to build a house on in Surrey, which seems rare as rocking horse shit.

Any people on PH deal in land?

i deal in land, my friend has a plot in byfleet but it is for 10 semi detached bungalows rather than just 1 unit. although it could be used for 1 pretty large units, hes after about £1.3m IIRC

I'm not sure who to approach to help find me a plot, or even how much something with PP goes for these days.

I guess most of the plots go to the big boys.

The problem is i'm sure they get palmed off to mates or people they know, back handers etc, hard for someone outside the industry to get a foot in

My problems would be solved if i could buy the small plot of land behind my house which belongs to a house 3 doors up, not big enough to build a house on, but big enough to extend my house back ,and give me a double garage.

However the old codger who lives there has sold to a housing investment company, and last time i spoke to them (about 4 years ago) they were not interested.

Oh well, moving house it is i guess.
