I changed to them a couple of months ago..IIRC I pay 12.90 ish a month for Unlimited data, couple of hundren minutes and 5000 texts.
As I understand the unlimited data is truely unlimited. Essentially you could watch a movie 24 hours a day for the entire month and it wouldnt cost any more.
No complaints here.

I'm with 3 also, and I've got a sim only deal that's £11 per month. For that I get 2gb data, 100 minutes and 3000 texts. There have been some signal issues when I've been staying in Aberdeen, but other than that it's been trouble free.
There are also quite a few countries where you can use your plan with no roaming charges, but I think a lot of providers are offering this now.

There's a few threads on here already about three but I must admit I'm impressed. They were the cheapest for my 5S anyway but with unlimited data and I can get 4g free when I venture out of the sticks. On top of this they have arrangements with foreign mobile providers and I can use my full allowances when I go to France for free.....unbeatable.
Another happy customer here too. Switched to the One plan from Voda in October and have got through about 50GB in that time - and this year, 4G added for free, plus some good roaming deals
Only gripe for me is that in the City of London/Canary Wharf it is quite hard to get decent data throughout at busy times, but I think all the networks suffer with this to some extent. 3 are about to enable free access to the Underground wifi too.

3g speeds can be very patching in large cities.
I've so far been unable to try their usage abroad, as for some reason my phone doesn't work abroad, despite me asking for it and being told it is active, it doesn't work. When I phoned the helpdesk to tell them it didn't work, I was met with the answer, "but it is enabled" which didn't help, and then when I replied that it still didn't work even when enabled, the helpdesk operative told me to call them when it's not working.
Would I recommend them, no. But like all services they are mostly OK until something goes wrong.

not found any data caps, but the coverage is not as good as EE. if you can live with 3.5GB at uncapped speeds then any use over 3.5GB the 3G speed is capped at 50k/sec until the end of the month then Virgin are not a bad bet as they piggy back on the EE network and it costs about the same as the 3 deal.

Local knowledge is really important when choosing a mobile provider. I switched to 3 18 months ago and it's been awesome. That won't however be the case if you live in an area where their coverage is less good.
So what we can confirm, is that 3 isn't the also-ran it was ten years ago. He needs to ask around at work for people's experiences in his area though.

I moved over to 3 at the end of last year, and i've been very happy with them. There are no limits on the data usage and i pay £15 per month for 'The One' tariff. The most that i've consumed in a month is about 3.5GB.
I think that i have unlimited txt and about 2000 mins too, but i seldomly use the phone for these features.

Thanks for the responses. Basically call coverage seems to be the biggest issue. Am not a big talker on phones, so what is the data coverage luke?
Speaking to work colleague, he said he would call a friend on 3 and leave a message, then have to leave another to push the first through. Anyone else had this?
