iPad 2

So anyone heard anything interesting about the iPad 2?

So far I have heard the following - Retina Display and Facetime.

I have also heard they are releasing 2 (or is it 3?) smaller sized iPad's, not sure if this is just a smaller iPad or going to be the iPad 2 with added features.

Higher resolution is a given, but you won't see anywhere near the pixel density of the iPhone4. Front facing camera is a given too I expect. Doubt there'll be much else worth noting, probably some beefed up numbers.

probably a front face camera. cant see them doing retina display given the difference in size of display to iphone; and the current ipad display is pretty much the same rez as the retina display anyhow.

I went into a shop last week as I wanted something portable for larger than iPhone web browsing I had a look at Netbooks then I looked at iPads.

So I walked out the shop having bought a Dell Inspiron laptop instead.

A retina display for the iPad would be about 2880 x 1920. Imagine how much that would cost if it is even possible!!!!

i suspect the resolution will stay at 1024X768 but the device will be correspondingly smaller.

Not to mention the added cost of processing power to fill that kind of display, thats SEVEN TIMES the number of pixels the iFad has now.

Can't find it in that mess, but does it have 3G?
Wierd product placement nevertheless imho, is it a small ipad or an iphone without dialing functionality?

the touch is a iphone.... without the phone. (so no phone, texting or 3g)

the ipad is very similar but all the apps are different (so e-mail app is different to ipad email app etc)
