maybe they don't want to build a fkload for day 1 in case this is the time people decide not to buy it. Especially as they are well aware (internally) that the 7 is a minor update. It's not so hard to gauge. The barely negative impact of customers having to wait versus the massive, massive share price impact of having stloads of unshifted units. Plus you can't just scale up production and scale it back down again to match these huge spikes. What the hell would be the point in building a factory ten times bigger when it only gets close to capacity for one month a year? The sheer fact you are frustrated means you likely haven't given up on the idea of waiting for one. Otherwise it wouldn't matter, right? Apple only have to give a st if you decide you're not going to buy one, because they know fine well you'll be all please and placated when it finally arrives.
Not sure if thick or purposefully missing the point of how many they are seemingly able to produce per day. These are not sausages, they take time to build, at a guess at least 15 hours of labour per device, at a conservative estimate of 4 million devices per day, with a working day of 10 hours would mean they have 6 million factory workers making iphone 7s, not to mention the billions spent on machinery to support this.
still sound right to you?
I've got a Jet black 7 256gb on eBay at the moment.
Buying frenzy comes to mind. Never ever had so many people send messages and make offers on any item i've ever sold on eBay - and i've been a member for 12 years or so.
I'm keeping the 7 plus - loving it so far. Really notice the speed difference opening and using apps. Camera is superb too.

I've got a matte black 256Gb 7+ on order. I wouldn't want the shiny one as looks like it will scratch up and look crap eventually.
I had the first and second iphone then never really bothered, just sticking to ipads and a 'non smart' mobile, but my son has now nicked my ipad mini for Minecraft and YouTube.
Everyone in the family and my main work colleagues are now on iMessage so this makes sense I suppose, and I am looking forward to getting it but I am not going to jump up and down in an Apple Store like a spoilt kid - those stories make me cringe. Crazy. But I am not above fighting people in Tesco to get a Polariod TV for 200 notes.

I was very impressed with the home button though, it really does feel like you're clicking it.
Does it work like the touchpad on a MacBook Pro? It's quite hard to believe there's no actual switch underneath it.

Does it work using gloves? I have heard it needs skin to work which (albeit a very minor issue) means you cant check for texts or even the time if you live somewhere cold without taking your gloves off.
I'm not sure, but if it doesn't would you not just use the power button to wake the phone up? leglessAlex said:

Yes, they do. HTH.So it will be best to log in each day at 6am to try and get the phone you want rather than waiting for a massive bulk to come in.
