Thanks for the tip on CPW, just placed an order for a Silver X! I really wanted Space Grey but that’s showing as 10th November. Will keep my “2-3 week” Apple order and see which appears first...
I've done the same actually. If a regular PH'er wants an X from 13 - 20 November (silver 64GB) PM me and I'll keep my order with Apple - assuming CPW keep to their November 10 delivery promise.

Was all set for the 8 Plus, upgrade delivered (but unopened knowing where I was going this week). I then went to a 'special place' on Tuesday and played with the X (I work for a carrier). On my return I got the upgrade cancelled and will get the X - it really is worth that £10/month extra. It's only one coffee per week #ManMaths
So what did you like on the x that wasn’t on the 8?bad company said:

Screen quality is great, OLED is the way forward undoubtedly. Notch didn't really bother me. FaceID was good, not amazing but of course that can be tweaked in iOS 11.x.Biggest things though for me was a) the size, for me personally the Plus sizes are a little too big for my dinky hands and b) the freshness of it all, it really feels like the original one did when that came out all those years ago, i.e. 'woah' factor.
One thing I would say though is if you watch a lot of movies and some 'big browsing' on them, the Plus is probably the one to go for due to the (imo misleading marketing BS) 5.8" screen on the X actually being smaller for quite a lot of content. If you want a brand new iPhone 8 plus 64gb then you won't get cheaper than this at £650:

I want to take a look at the x first but almost certain to trade my 6 for an 8.

I am currently using an iPhone 7 Plus which I got from fonegiant a few weeks ago, they are legitimate. It was £520 so I wished I had waited a bit longer. Someone at work has ordered one which is being delivered tomorrow so I’ll update you when it arrives.

My missus has an 8.
She was connected to the Fiesta via bluetooth. My standard sms text message to her wouldn't get delivered until after she had disconnected from the car.
Bizarre. Altogether, she's not having a happy Apple experience!

Got an email from CPW saying my phone will be delivered in store tomorrow. Am I missing something because I thought it was launched from the 3rd?
I assume it was sent to tell you that it will definitely be ready for you on the 3rd.I'm not 'latest phone' obsessed, I just want to keep trundling along with my phone/tech, and as I commute to London, I had put increased memory as a priority for my upgrade. I wanted to keep lots of content on there etc.
Old Deal:-
o2
iPhone 6S 64GB
5GB data, unlimited everything, 24 months
was £46pm (phone was £130 ish upfront)
Went to CPW on Oxford Street yesterday.
New deal:-
o2
iPhone 8 256GB
15GB data (10GB was 'free'), unlimited everything, 24 months
Phone £99 upfront.
£49pm.
I'm ok with the increase for the added data, as every other month I would add a 1GB top up anyway, which was about £6.
Ordered a Spigen case, and will get it up and running over the weekend!

Overnight queuing outside Apple stores and the shares rise this morning.
Here we go, great Apple marketing.
Er, no. Here we go, great Apple marketing.
Financial results ahead of expectations came out yesterday after trading with bullish forecasts for next quarter - hence shares rising.
As you say strong figures (12% increase in sales) lead to the increased share price.
