Thanks thumbup I can hold off a few more weeks if 12 is coming but if it's not announced today I'll just go with the 11.
That’s pretty much where I am. My X is ready for change but I can wait a few more weeks.

That iPad Air looks like a nice thing. Pricey though.

So iwatch 4 & 5 are gone? It’s only 3 or new SE or new 6?

Yep. You can’t have something too close to the latest and greatest on sale otherwise no one would buy it. The new one doesn’t make me want to upgrade my 4......

So they didn't actually announce anything exciting then.

Someone on another page said it's being announced separately and could be here end of Oct.

You can tell the Series 6 was lackluster because it's only 'headline' feature was blood oxygen monitor.
Seemed to peak at Series 4, no amazing features since.

Waits for the iPad Air 2020 vs iPad Pro 2020 comparison reviews. iPad Air looks like a decent one with the same Pencil 2 support and buttonless front as the Pro, and USB C.

Apple spec comparison looks fairly similar other than cameras being a lot more basic on the Air, and whatever the difference in processors is.

wow, that was a pretty mediocre release. I am an apple fan, have plenty of their products, but there really wasn’t anything headline grabbing there.

i get that there’s not huge leaps and bounds to be made, but to make a big fuss about the new series 6 watch and it really only has 1 new feature and that’s of limited day to day use for the majority of people, seems a whole lot of nothing.

I feel they should’ve held that stuff off and tagged it on the end of the next phone release. at least people would still be going- ooooh shiny new phone and would’ve glossed over how minor improvements the watch was

I’m underwhelmed by that. I have an iPad Pro, Iwatch 4 & iPhone X. Nothing to upgrade for me.

John Lewis usually have current/soon to be previous models for a while after new models come out.

They really do know what they are doing don't they...

The new SE watch is only £110 less but misses out on the always on display, new blood oxygen sensor and has a lower spec processer.

Not sure why I wouldn't just save up a bit longer and get the 6? I guess if you are locked to a budget then the SE fills that spot.

As I said earlier, ideal situation is picking the series 5 up on the cheap, fingers crossed John Lewis have some clearance deals.

I’ve a series 4 watch which does everything I need at the moment, doesn’t look like a big enough jump to the 6 for me to upgrade at the moment. The thing about the sleep tracking is that the battery life on the website is 18 hours from what I could see, and this still isn’t good enough to use the device for that purpose as I could imagine most people are charging it overnight anyway.

Yeah I agree.

Glad the watch 6 wasn’t much different to the 5 or 4, saved me being tempted to upgrade from my 4, which is excellent.

What features did people want in a 6? I was hoping for a new larger size case or new case design. I can’t really think of any new realistic features tbh.

I think in terms of features it’s probably peaked, there’s only so much tech you can put into a watch so for me it’s all about the battery life now. If there was a way of charging whilst you wear, or a battery that lasted 4 days plus then I would upgrade straight away.
