Guys,
Could someone recommend a dual monitor stand, needs to hold 24” monitors, about 4.2 kg each I think.
Quite a few on Amazon, but most have at least some reviews explaining about issues holding the monitors without tilting forward over time.
Do you need desk mount or wall mount?Could someone recommend a dual monitor stand, needs to hold 24” monitors, about 4.2 kg each I think.

I've been happy with my very solid Ergotron MX desk-mounted one (it's about 6 years old now) - not the cheapest but the spring pre-load can be adjusted for heavier/lighter loads...my 27" iMac is 9.5kg and has a shelf attached to the back with probably another kilo of HDDs and hubs.
If you want solid, and are happy with limited adjustability, then the Neo-Flex Dual is about the simplest one they do.

Current home setup, just got the arm and 2x U2419H monitors. Went to Ikea to get the new desk last night, even though it said in stock on the site, it wasn't. Wasted 2 hour round trip. Will go get the desk next week. This desk is 105x45cm, better with the monitor arm, but still too small. Echo show 5 from the Prime sale a temporary fixture as I was setting it up.
What arm is that, could I ask? I have the same monitors with a Dell arm but on a standing desk and it doesn't lift the monitors high enough. Yours look to have a decent height.RM said:

I have one of these, I liked the fact they are on a single arm and fixed in relation to one another (so they stay together and aligned). Can either clamp on or go though a hole in the desk. Holds my 2x 24" rock solid and not shown any inclination to move since it was installed in May.Could someone recommend a dual monitor stand, needs to hold 24” monitors, about 4.2 kg each I think.

For height, I have the screen top at eye level and I have the taskbar at the top of the screen (mainly because I use a Mac at home so that's where I like it)

Maybe I’m missing something but don’t monitors normally come with stands? My two 24’s just sit beside each other on the stands they came with. XPS 13 laptop sits on top of the stands, underneath the monitors. I guess a dual monitor mount would be slightly nearer but £109 seems expensive.
Most monitor stands are quite short and they have quite a large footprint. The poles are taller and take up effectively no desk space.Your "shelf" compensates.

I have 3 x ergotron LX single arms which are rated for up to about 11kg each and they are absolutely superb, well sprung, highly adjustable and seemingly indestructible. I wouldn't look further than these guys for a high quality monitor arm/stand.I've been happy with my very solid Ergotron MX desk-mounted one (it's about 6 years old now) - not the cheapest but the spring pre-load can be adjusted for heavier/lighter loads...my 27" iMac is 9.5kg and has a shelf attached to the back with probably another kilo of HDDs and hubs.

So it looks like monitors are covered well in this thread but now the evenings are drawing in, I feel my home office is too dark. What’s the recommended set up for lighting?
I defo need to upgrade and wonder if a desk lamp is enough or if I’ll also need to change my ceiling lights as well

Do you need lighting for video conferencing, or just a puddle of light on your desk?I defo need to upgrade and wonder if a desk lamp is enough or if I’ll also need to change my ceiling lights as well
