I saw this deal but the add-on contract was extortionate. Wasn't aware you could cancel it. Thoughts so far?
Well it arrived 11 hours after I ordered it, which is very impressive. The phone is brand new, still has all the original protective stickers on! Original box and charger adapter are not included but that doesn't bother me.

Phone feels great, looks great. Screen and camera are big step up, the rest is extremely similar to my mate 10 pro, but I guess that's just mobiles reaching critical mass and generational improvements getting smaller.

Only dissapointment is the lack of stereo speakers and expensive DAC, but I'll get over that.

Is that a pay monthly contract? Can you just cancel straight away and then pay the fee?

Need a replacement for my P20 pro

Really easy to cancel. Did it in chat so I have a copy of the convo.

Got my P30 Pro yesterday (used the mobile phones direct link for £28 a month, Thanks for those who shared it)

First impressions are its amazing, camera is absolutely fantastic and battery seems to last forever. And the process to transfer everything from my old Samsung was painless too.

Im very impressed so far.

I went with the Spigen Light Armor case which seems really good without being too bulky in my pocket.

I’m currently torn between going for one of these or going for a Samsung S10 5G, both similar in price from Three. My Wife has a P30 Pro and all seems good, has anyone compared them to the Samsung’s?

I had an S9 until a couple of days ago and wife has had P30 Pro for about 12 months

I think it was probably a better phone than the S9, bigger obviously, much better camera and faster overall imo

I'd suspect it would be largely comparable to the S10 again with a better camera

I've gone for S20 5G with a deal from O2, if it was between S10 and P30 would be tough for me, I do lean towards Samsung though

Just cancelled with o2, very easy. Loitered on the "contact us" page until a web chat request popped up and answered a few questions. Will keep an eye out for the direct debit on my bank and cancel it if it pops up. Speigen case comes later, then I get my old phone wiped and sold.

S10 5g is the more valuable phone by quite a way, so if the monthly price is similar then go for that. Huawei has better camera, but Samsung is better in most other areas, but only just. I got the p30 pro over it as it was £380 like new, S10 5g is closer to £500-600

With the O2 deal, are they locked to the O2 network?

Having a problem with notifications..... i'm hardly getting any from any app - despite all allowances / permissions being turned on.

Any ideas?

have you set up app launch and battery optimisation? - this issue is the one thing that annoys more than anything with huawei phones!!

such aggressive battery saving to obtain headline battery figures.

Yeah set both of those up on the apps in question. Still no joy.

I've used mine as a satnav, I have a decent holder in the car which is also a wireless charger.
