Nice screen but does it have to be so big, need two hands to hold the thing. Hope the new iphone wont be as big as this brick.
Worst I've got girl hands post ever.I can not only hold it in one hand easily but if pushed, I can swype with one hand too. I could never use touch screens and type with one hand before. Also, its size is definitely an asset, making typing far more accurate.
As for "brick", lol... Its the lightest and thinnest phone around. Go back to your iphone with its tiny screen and brick like build, as it seems more suited.
Mind you I do find it quite irritating typing replies on pistonheads at times, as sometimes it zooms in too far and you can't see what your typing, especially in landscape, yes you can zoom out but as soon as you touch the keyboard it zooms in again. Annoying, but I can live with it.

I got a good price (£195) for my old 3G on ebay.....seems to be a good market....If you're looking to sell your iPhone, there are always buyers waiting in the AV Forums classifieds, all have seller rating and feedback as well.
Take a look here...

This is what's stopped me getting any sort of Android phone so far.... they're all far too big.A friend has a Galaxy S and it's just massive.
If someone would release a standard size phone running Android then I'd go for it, but I simply don't want to carry something that size around all the time.

Well, aren't there? I swapped my 3,5" iphone 3 for a 3,7" Milestone, and the outer dimensions were identical, just the screen was ever-so-slightly bigger.A friend has a Galaxy S and it's just massive.

I can't imagine there not being any sub-4" android phones...

the C5 is 112 x 46 x 12.3
the smallest Android I can find is the HTC Aria at 104 x 58 x 12 so the height is fine, but it's over 10mm wider - doesn't sound like much, but in practise it makes the phone not really pocketable in my mind.
for reference, the Galaxy S 2 is 125 x 66 x 9 - a whole 20mm wider.
I'm going to try out a Sansung Galaxy Europa when I'm next in the mall, at 108 x 56 x 12 it's probably my best bet.

I currently run a Nokia C5 (a larger phone than I had before, sadly my 6630 died after 8 years of service)

Edit: ignore my last, I thought you were comparing with the iPhone 4, then I read your complete post.

Not quite. I had my iPhone 4 and Samsung Galaxy S2 stacked on top of each other, and for the extra .8" screen size you get, they are remarkably close in terms of size in reality. A friend has a Galaxy S and it's just massive.

Smallest Android phone I can think of is the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini at 83 x 50 x 16 mm

The S2 is one of the slimmest smart phones on the planet, so its no brick, its also lighter than the iphone.
Personally, one of the reasons I got rid of the iphone 4 was the screen was too damn small. Small screens are an utter ball ache on a touch screen device, making typing a very inaccurate affair, and everything on the iphone just looks so damn small.

Agreed on the small screen size, I love my Milestone, but the 3.7" screen is just too small Personally, one of the reasons I got rid of the iphone 4 was the screen was too damn small. Oh, and iirc, the SGS2 is THE slimmest smartphone on the planet.
Just took delivery of my new S2. Really happy with it so far. Screen is much bigger than the iphone 4 and its nice and light and slim.
The Social hub is pretty handy to link various email account, twitter, facebook and linked in. I'm sure there are loads of other cool features so will need to have a play with it.

Can anyone please suggest the best type of case for the GS2. on ebay they range from £2 up to £90!? I was told by vodafone there are no official cases or accessories available yet??
I got a £3 S-Line or something or other case off ebay (its got an "S" shape on the back), and it seems OK to me... reasonably well fitting, doesn't look too bad, and looks like it will offer a good bit of a protection.Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
